Infosys Foundation Announces the Fourth Edition of the Aarohan Social Innovation Awards

Pune May 19 ( UNI) Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys, announced the launch of the fourth edition of its Aarohan Social Innovation Awards.
Continuing its commitment to fostering social innovation in India, Infosys Foundation is inviting innovators and social entrepreneurs from across the country to participate in the awards.
The Aarohan Social Innovation Awards 2025 aim to recognise and reward individuals, teams, NGOs, and social enterprises developing unique technology-based solutions that have the potential to create a significant impact on the underprivileged communities across India, at scale. Infosys Foundation commits up to INR 50 lakh per winner, with a total award purse of INR 2 crore, it said in a release. UNI SP

Pune, May 29 (UNI) The Maharashtra home department today relieved Special Inspector General (Prisons) Maharashtra Jalindar Supekar from the additional charge of Deputy Inspector General of Prisons of Nashik, Sambhajinagar and Nagpur, following allegations that he had tried to shield the accused in the Vaishnavi Hagawane dowry harassment-suicide case.

Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-AP) State President and Member of Parliament Sunil Tatkare clarified that no proposal has come regarding a merger in the party, nor is such a proposal under consideration. “We are a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and will continue to remain in it."
"Anyone who aligns with this ideology and wishes to walk with us on this path is welcome in the party. Hence, the issue of a merger simply does not arise. There’s no such proposal, and no such discussion is taking place at our level. So, what is the point in commenting on something that doesn’t exist?” he said during a press conference on Thursday.
