Former Maval MLA Krishnarao Bhegade dies

Pune, July 1 (UNI) Former MLA of Maval taluka Krishnarao Bhegde passed away last night.
He was 89.
He was known as a powerful leader in Maval taluka. His political career started from Jan Sangh. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly from the Maval constituency twice. Bhegade represented the Legislative Council for a few years. He had a great influence on the political, social, health, and especially educational sectors of Maval taluka.
Bhegade started schools, colleges, and universities in Maval through his organisation to open the doors of education to students from every corner of the district. He also created educational courses to provide engineering, technical, and medical education facilities to the students of the taluka. He is survived by a daughter, son-in-law, two sisters, nephews, and nieces. He will be cremated today at Maval, family sources said.
