School teacher arrested for sexual harassment of minor girl student in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, July 1 (UNI) A school teacher was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a minor girl student in school at Senapati Kapashi village in Kagal tehsil of the district today.
According to sources in Kagal police, a teacher at a school in Senapati Kapashi village, identified as Naseer Mulla, was arrested for sexual harassment and indecent behaviour with the minor girl student in his class.
After hearing about incident, irate local villagers gathered in front of the school, beat up the teacher and handed him over to police.
Taking serious note of incident, state minister Hasan Mushrif, who belongs to Kagal assembly constituency, spoke with the Kagal police authority on phone and instructed them to arrest him immediately.
Meanwhile, the school management has suspended Mulla.
Further investigation is on, sources added.
