Fadnavis praises Modi for completing 25 years of uninterrupted reign as CM, PM

Mumbai, Oct 7 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years providing political leadership as Chief Minister of Gujarat and Prime Minister of India, describing his tenure as one focused on dedication, development and human welfare.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has successfully completed 25 years of holding constitutional positions. He took over as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001 first as Gujarat chief minister for three terms and later as Prime Minister of India after leading the BJP to victory in three Lok Sabha elections,” Fadnavis told media persons here.
Fadnavis presented a glowing account of Prime Minister Modi's 25 years of administrative and political journey and his determination to fulfill the resolution of a ‘Developed India’ by 2047.
Speaking about the Prime Minister’s economic and administrative performance in the last 12 years, Maharashtra Chief Minister Fadnavis said, “Before 2014, India was counted among the ‘Fragile Five’ countries, considered as shaky and crisis-ridden. However, after the bold economic decisions taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, transparent governance and financial discipline, today India has secured a place among the ‘Top Five’ strongest economies in the world”.
“Welfare schemes were implemented keeping the poor, deprived and weak sections of the country in mind. As a result, the government succeeded in lifting as many as 25 crore countrymen out of the abyss of poverty and creating a new system of living with dignity,” Fadnavis said.
Fadnavis stated that on October 7, 2001, Modi took charge of Gujarat, which was in the throes of an earthquake and economic crisis.
“He transformed Gujarat and presented a model of development before the country. After that, from 2014 till today, he has served the country continuously and taken India towards becoming a global superpower. Today, he has crossed the historic milestone of 25 years as the head of the government. This leadership is one which thinks about the progress of the country 24 hours a day. Giving justice to every community and raising India's prestige in the world is the essence of this 25-year career,” Fadnavis said.
Fadnavis said that PM Modi has given the country a dream of becoming a ‘Developed India’ by 2047.
“This is not just a dream but our national resolve. This ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ will continue uninterruptedly,” Fadnavis said.
“The entire country, including Maharashtra, stands behind this resolve today. We have made a firm determination that we will do it and make India a fully developed, self-reliant and world-leading country by 2047,” Fadnavis added.
