Stole Constitution in 1975 and targeting Supreme Court today: Maharashtra CM exposes Congress at Thane rally

Mumbai, Nov 1 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday accused the Congress of undermining the country's democratic institutions, alleging that its real fight was against India and the Constitution rather than the ruling party.
Addressing the BJP's ‘Loktantra Bachao Padyatra’ in Thane, Fadnavis recalled the Emergency imposed in 1975 by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He said those who spoke about democracy today had earlier weakened democratic institutions and suspended fundamental rights after a court invalidated Gandhi's election.
Taking a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his foreign visits, Fadnavis questioned the alleged funding received by Congress-linked trusts from China. He accused the opposition of attempting to destabilise the country and create internal unrest with the help of foreign funds.
