NCP (SCP) MLA Rohit Pawar demands re-elections in Maharashtra, Haryana,WB

Mumbai, Sep 25 (UNI) Escalating the opposition's offensive against the ruling dispensation and the country's electoral body, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) MLA Rohit Pawar has launched a scathing critique, declaring that constitutional trust in India's leadership has suffered a "100 per cent betrayal".
Invoking a critical observation made by Supreme Court Justice Dipankar Datta regarding the "constitutional trust" reposed in rulers, Pawar asserted that the sanctity of India's democratic framework has been severely compromised. He directly accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of operating under political influence to secure an unbridled, brute majority for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), turning autonomous institutions into mere puppets of the state.
Pointing to deep-rooted opacity and compromised electoral transparency, Pawar has aggressively demanded fresh, independent re-elections across Maharashtra, Haryana, and West Bengal.
The NCP(SCP) leader alleged that the ruling party is systematically weaponising the Election Commission to bypass democratic checks and balances and fulfill its long-term agenda of altering the Constitution. Expressing optimism amidst the political turmoil, Pawar lauded the growing resistance from citizens, members of the judiciary, and particularly the Gen-Z generation, who are fearlessly raising their voices to safeguard Indian democracy.
Stressing that public faith in democracy can only survive if constitutional bodies adhere to strict moral boundaries rather than serving government interests, Pawar called for a collective national awakening.
