Public facilities should meet citizens’ physical, mental and intellectual needs: Chandrakant Patil

Sangli, Maharashtra, Sept 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister and Sangli district Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil on Sunday stressed the need to broaden the concept of development by creating public facilities that address the physical, mental and intellectual needs of citizens.
Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of ‘Namo Udyan’ on Khanapur Road within the Vita Municipal Council limits, Patil said development should not be confined to physical infrastructure but should also focus on improving the quality of life of citizens.
“Good parks, sports facilities, libraries, theatres and other public amenities should be provided to citizens. Positive changes in their quality of life should be an integral part of the development process,” he said.
