Raj Thackeray fires salvo at CEC Gyanesh Kumar during Mumbai's mega anti-EC rally

Mumbai, Oct 4 (UNI) The high-octane anti-Election Commission march reached a roaring crescendo outside the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters near CSMT, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray launched a blistering attack on the ruling dispensation and election authorities.
Addressing a massive sea of citizens, Thackeray openly questioned the integrity of recent electoral outcomes, pointing to sudden, unexplained spikes in voter numbers between Lok Sabha and assembly elections.
Accusing the poll panel of acting as an extension of the ruling party to manipulate mandates, Thackeray asserted that the current regime has lost all fear of public accountability. He slammed the execution of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Maharashtra as entirely illegal, claiming it deliberately purged millions of genuine voters. Reiterating his long-standing demand, Thackeray insisted that all future democratic exercises must be conducted via traditional paper ballots rather than Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to restore absolute transparency.
