Gyanesh Kumar's face will be blackened with ink if he comes to Maharashtra, says Harshwardhan Sapkal

Mumbai, Oct 7 (UNI) Maharashtra State Congress Committee President Harshwardhan Sapkal said on Wednesday that Congress workers will not allow Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to set foot anywhere in Maharashtra.
"If vote thief Gyanesh Kumar comes to Maharashtra, Congress workers will smear his face with black ink," Maharashtra State Congress Committee President Harshwardhan Sapkal said.
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Sapkal alleged that CEC Gyanesh Kumar helped the BJP win the elections by stealing votes and other illegal malpractices.
"There is widespread anger across the country against vote thief Gyanesh Kumar and his masters Modi and Amit Shah. This is why Gyanesh Kumar has cancelled his programmes scheduled in Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. A large group of 300 MPs, led by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, went to meet him, but he did not meet the MPs," Sapkal said.
Sapkal stated that the entire country is taking to the streets demanding his resignation.
"This is why his scheduled tours are being constantly changed. After Meerut and Varanasi, his Chhattisgarh tour scheduled for October 7 and October 8 has also been postponed," Sapkal said.
Sapkal stated that by illegally altering Form 6, Gyanesh Kumar has committed the sin of depriving young people who have attained the age of 18 of their voting rights.
"Gyanesh Kumar and his bosses will be punished for this sin. The Congress Party led by Rahul Gandhi, will continue its struggle for voters' rights and a fair election process," Harshwardhan Sapkal said.
Earlier, the Mumbai Youth Congress staged a road blockade agitation at Bandra Reclamation to protest against the illegal detention of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders by the Delhi Police, while they were on their way to the Election Commission office in Delhi.
A large number of Youth Congress workers participated in the road blockade agitation led by Mumbai Youth Congress President Zeenat Shabrin, raising slogans against the BJP, PM Modi and Gyanesh Kumar.
According to Mumbai Youth Congress President Zeenat Shabrin, the Mumbai police allegedly pushed and beat up female Youth Congress activists as well as dragged some women activists by their hair after which they were thrown in police vans. The Mumbai Youth Congress has condemned the police crackdown.
Mumbai Youth Congress President Zeenat Shabrin said that it is now clear that the BJP governments at the centre and in various states have stolen votes.
"Whenever the Modi government tries to suppress Rahul's voice, we will take to the streets and fight in his support," Mumbai Youth Congress President Zeenat Shabrin said.
