MPSC demands accepted, Sharad Pawar faction politicising students' agitation: BJP MLA

Mumbai, Oct 5 (UNI) BJP MLA Ram Kadam on Monday said all demands raised by Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) aspirants had been accepted by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and the administration had been directed to implement the decisions.
Kadam said demands that do not fall within the jurisdiction of the Maharashtra government under Articles 315 and 316 of the Constitution were being pursued by leaders of the Sharad Pawar faction for political interests.
He said political workers entering the students' agitation and affecting the image and future of MPSC aspirants would not be appropriate. UNI SP SAS

Kolhapur court sentences man and his two sons to life imprisonment for murder

Kolhapur, Oct 5 (UNI) District session judge AM Patil today sentenced to life imprisonment and fine of Rs 10,000 each to a man and his two sons for the 2013 murder of a man over a minor issue in Raman-mala area of the city.
According to public prosecutor Sujata Ingale, accused Rajendra Ananda Sawant (63) and his two sons Abhijeet (32) and Dharyasheel (34), are all residents of Vichare Mala, a suburb of the city.
Accused Rajendra had a feud with Hemant Babaso Gaikwad and his brother Shashikant on a minor issue.
