Nitish instructs early composition of six lane Sherpur-Dighwara Ganga bridge

Patna, May 28 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday instructed the authorities concerned for early completion of the construction of the six-lane Sherpur-Dighwara Ganga bridge.
Kumar, along with senior authorities inspected the construction work of the six lane Sherpur-Dighwara Ganga bridge on Wednesday and directed for early completion of the under construction bridge.
Construction of the JP Ganga Path under this bridge towards Patna was also in progress.
The bridge will be connected to the Bihta Sarmera road.
The Chief Minister said that after the completion of the construction of the bridge, the connectivity between North and South Bihar will be more convenient.
Along with this, people of the western end of Patna will also be able to travel from one place to another more comfortably.He said that being a part of Patna Ring Road, it will be easy for people to travel in all four directions of the capital.
During the inspection, the authorities apprised the Chief Minister with the progress of the work and informed him that the 14.5 to km long bridge was being constructed by the National Highway Authority of India at an expenditure of Rs 3200 crore. It will act as Ring Road for Patna town and is expected to be completed by the year 2027. UNI RS.SSP

Alert sounded in Manipur following heavy rainfall

Imphal, May 30 (UNI) The Manipur government has sounded an Orange Alert Warning has been sounded in the state following heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday.
The people have been advised to take precautions as the state could face windspeeds of 40 to 50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph. The state is likely to receive more than 20 cms of heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
