Nityanand Rai leads 300-tractor rally to honour farmers in Rohtas

Sasaram, Oct 9 (UNI) union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on Friday drove a tractor leading a convoy of 300 tractors in a 76-km rally from Bhaluni Bhawani Sthan in Dinara, Rohtas district, to Maa Mundeshwari temple as part of a campaign marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in public service.
The ‘Annadata Seva Sankalp Yatra and Kisan Samvad’ was organised to honour farmers and highlight the government's commitment to their welfare and the development of the agricultural sector.
Rai inaugurated the programme. The rally's main attraction was Rai taking the driver's seat of a tractor and leading the convoy alongside farmers over the 76-km route.
Addressing the gathering, Rai said the yatra aimed to spread the message of respect for farmers, gratitude for their hard work and a commitment to agricultural prosperity.
He said the message of the Prime Minister''s 25 years in public service was that service was the resolve, public welfare the goal and national interest the highest priority.
Rai said efforts were being made under Modi''s leadership to increase farmers'' incomes, modernise agriculture, strengthen the rural economy and improve the lives of farming families.
He added that the yatra highlighted the importance attached to the development of farmers and villages, saying empowered farmers were the foundation of a prosperous Bihar and a developed India.
