Bengaluru, June 23 (UNI) Former Karnataka MP DK Suresh on Monday said he had no knowledge of any financial transactions or links with those under investigation in the ongoing Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe, and assured that he had fully cooperated with the agency during the inquiry.
Speaking to reporters after a round of questioning by ED officials, Suresh clarified that he had no personal acquaintance with Aishwarya Gowda.
"Since Aishwarya Gowda was from my constituency, I was invited to attend a Kannada Rajya Sahakara event, which I attended. Beyond that, I may have participated in one or two meetings where some issues were discussed. But I have no involvement in any financial or gold dealings,” he said.
Suresh further stated that he had answered all questions posed by the ED officials. "It is my duty to cooperate with the investigation. If my name has been misused in any manner, I am willing to provide whatever assistance is required. I have no objection to any lawful probe, and I believe all political parties must respect legal procedures,” he added, while dismissing speculation that the inquiry was politically motivated or aimed at targeting any individual.
