Dharamshala, Oct 23 (UNI) Former Dharamshala Mayor Devendra Singh Jaggi has welcomed the announcements made by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu regarding benefits for state government employees and pensioners.
Jaggi said the CM had announced a five per cent increase in dearness allowance (DA) for employees and pensioners. The government had also announced Rs 10,000 each for Class IV employees towards pending pay revision arrears and for pensioners, he added.
He said the decisions would provide financial relief to employees and pensioners and help them celebrate the festive season with greater comfort.
Jaggi said the state government had prioritised the interests of employees despite economic challenges. He also welcomed the CM’s assurance that the government would continue to provide the benefits of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) to employees.
Jaggi said the announcements reflect the government’s commitment to safeguarding the interests and welfare of employees and pensioners.
