Rajbhar takes dig at SP-Congress alliance, calls Akhilesh’s Azam Khan visit an ‘election gimmick’

Ambedkarnagar, Oct 23 (UNI) Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief and Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar on Friday took a swipe at the Samajwadi Party (SP)-Congress alliance, claiming that the SP would never allocate 170 seats to the Congress.
Mocking the prolonged seat-sharing discussions, Rajbhar said the elections would be approaching by the time their negotiations concluded, leaving the Congress exhausted.
He also accused SP chief Akhilesh Yadav of visiting Mohammad Azam Khan at Rampur jail with an eye on the elections, alleging that the meeting was politically motivated.
Talking to media, Rajbhar, citing his past experiences with the Samajwadi Party, claimed that the party pushes its allies so hard that people run away.
He alleged that Muslims should also aspire to participate in power. He questioned how long Muslims will continue to lay the carpet for others.
According to Rajbhar's claims, Akhilesh Yadav wants Muslims to vote for the SP out of fear of the BJP.
