Odisha: CBI nabs Nuapada EMRS Principal in bribery case

Bhubaneswar, Oct 8 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation has caught the Principal of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) in Odisha’s Nuapada district red-handed while accepting a Rs 12,000 bribe from an Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) worker for allegedly recommending an extension of her service.
The agency registered a case yesterday, after receiving a complaint alleging that the Principal had initially demanded Rs 20,000 from the ANM worker for recommending her name for extension of service at EMRS, Nuapada. Following negotiations, the accused allegedly agreed to accept Rs 12,000.
Acting on the complaint, the CBI laid a trap and caught the accused Principal while accepting the bribe from the complainant. The accused has since been apprehended and further investigation is underway.UNI MK AAB
