One juvenile held after three escape from Faridabad observation home; 151 arrested in weekend crackdown

Faridabad, Oct 5 (UNI) Faridabad police have apprehended one of three juveniles who escaped from an observation home in the city, while a separate three-day crackdown led to the arrest of 151 accused and action against 46 proclaimed offenders and bail absconders, police said on Monday.
The three juveniles escaped from the observation home on October 3 through a bathroom window. Police said one of the juveniles was tracked down and apprehended from the Manesar area of Gurugram with the help of technical surveillance and local intelligence.
The juvenile is being questioned about the circumstances surrounding the escape and the whereabouts of the other two, police said, adding that teams were continuing efforts to trace them.
Separately, Faridabad police said they arrested 151 accused during a special weekend drive conducted from October 2 to 4.
Police said action was also taken against 46 proclaimed offenders and accused who had absconded while on bail, while 46 missing persons were traced and reunited with their families.
During the drive, police seized 439 bottles of illicit country-made liquor and 130 bottles of illicit Indian-made foreign liquor, besides 2.852 kg of cannabis and 5.46 grams of MDMA.
Police also recovered Rs 10,190 during action against gambling activities.
