Opposition YSRCP to observe June 4 as 'betrayal day' in protest against Chandrababu Naidu govt

Vizianagaram, May 24 (UNI) YSRCP will observe June 4 as ‘Betrayal Day’ to highlight the "failure" of the Chandrababu Naidu-headed government in implementing all the promises it has assured the people.
Speaking to media here on Saturday, Party leader in the Legislative Council Botsa Satyanarayana said the "inefficiency" of the Naidu headed government has been questioned by ex-Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“The YSRCP will observe June 4 as ‘Betrayal Day’ as not a single promise has been implemented by Chandrababu Naidu headed government during his one year tenure, besides false cases are being foisted on party workers and social media activists and the fabricated case of liquor scam has been pointedly questioned by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for which there has been no response,” Botsa Satyanarayana slammed.

The YSRCP leader also faulted Chandrababu Naidu for "not being able to give a reply to even a single issue" raised by former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and demanded that a calendar should be released on the implementation of poll promises.

“All sections of people are unhappy with the coalition government and even NREGA dues are not cleared and there are no signs of the government coming to the rescue of farmers in distress. The coalition partners have been resorting to personal attacks as they have no evidence,” Satyanarayana lashed out.

“The governance has been a failure as in one year not a single poll promise has been implemented and the law and order situation has deteriorated. The government could not clear dues to workers under NREGA to a tune of Rs 800 crore despites procuring a whopping Rs 1.40 lakh crore loan,” the former Minister criticised.

Farmers are in distress as they did not get MSP for paddy, tobacco, mirchi and other horticulture produce while prime land in Visakhapatnam has been given away to favoured industrialists at throwaway prices, he alleged.
