Owaisi appeals to voters to support AIMIM candidates in Andhra Pradesh municipal polls

Hyderabad/Amaravati, Oct 30 (UNI) AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday appealed to voters in Andhra Pradesh to support the party's candidates in the municipal corporation and municipality elections scheduled for November 1, and vote for the 'Kite' symbol.
In a video message released in Hyderabad, Owaisi listed the party candidates contesting in Ballia Municipal Corporation, Hindupur, Penukonda, Rayadurgam and Nandyal municipalities.
He urged voters to strengthen local Muslim leadership by electing AIMIM candidates as corporators and councillors, stating that their victory would help promote community representation and local development.
He also cautioned voters about the political history of the TDP and BJP in Andhra Pradesh, alleging that the BJP had taken steps affecting Waqf institutions, mosques and the rights of the Muslim community, with the TDP government supporting its actions.
Apologising for his inability to participate in the campaign in person, Owaisi said local AIMIM representatives, members and councillors had been actively campaigning among voters.
He urged people to support the party candidates with their votes and prayers on November 1.
