Oyster Renewable partners with MS Agarwal Foundries for 48 MWp hybrid project in Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Sep 25(UNI) Oyster Renewable on Friday announced a partnership with MS Agarwal Foundries Pvt Ltd to develop a 48 MWp solar-wind hybrid renewable energy project in Andhra Pradesh, aimed at supplying reliable and sustainable renewable power to the industrial company.
Once operational, the facility is expected to generate more than 12.2 crore units of renewable electricity annually and help avoid around 86,620 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, the Mumbai based company said in a release.
The project will be Oyster Renewable's third renewable energy project in Andhra Pradesh and is expected to further expand its presence in the state.
The development comes amid Andhra Pradesh's focus on renewable energy under its Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024, which supports solar, wind and hybrid projects and the development of Renewable Energy Zones.
Commenting on the partnership, Oyster Renewable COO Ateesh Samant said hybrid projects could provide a steadier renewable power supply by combining solar and wind generation, particularly for energy-intensive industries.
He said the partnership with MS Agarwal Foundries would support the adoption of renewable energy in the industrial sector and contribute to the company's long-term presence in Andhra Pradesh.
Oyster Renewable said the project forms part of its efforts to expand its hybrid renewable energy portfolio and work with industrial consumers to increase the use of renewable power.
