Revanth Reddy, Seethakka pay tributes to Konda Laxman Bapuji

Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Danasari Anasuya Seethakka paid tributes to freedom fighter and Telangana movement leader Konda Laxman Bapuji on his death anniversary on Monday.
In a post on social media platform X, Revanth Reddy recalled Konda Laxman Bapuji's contributions and sacrifices for the cause of a separate Telangana state and paid homage to the veteran leader. Konda Laxman Bapuji died on September 21, 2012.
Minister Seethakka paid floral tributes to Konda Laxman Bapuji's statue at Tank Bund here.
She recalled his participation in the freedom struggle and his subsequent fight for the rights and self-respect of the people of Telangana.
Ms Seethakka said Konda Laxman Bapuji dedicated his life to Telangana society and always accorded priority to public interest over political positions and personal gains.
His contribution to the Telangana statehood movement, social justice and the upliftment of weaker sections would remain an inspiration to future generations, she said.
She called upon people to uphold his ideals by protecting democratic values, social justice and the rights of the people.
