RJD raises questions over law and order in Bihar

Patna, Sep 24 (UNI) Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) state spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed expressed concern over the law-and-order situation in Bihar following recent incidents in Jamui and Samastipur, saying that such incidents have raised questions about the functioning of the government and administration.
Ahmed said the government should ensure swift and impartial action against those responsible for the incidents.
He said that after any criminal incident, the government’s priority should be to identify those responsible and take legal action against them.
He alleged that, at times, statements are made by people in the government that divert attention from the core issue and reduce the seriousness of the matter.
The RJD spokesperson said the present government should ensure effective action on law and order rather than referring to the record of previous governments.
He stressed that there should be no discrimination in criminal cases and that investigations should remain free from political or other influence.
Ahmed said impartial action by the police and administration would help strengthen public confidence in security and the rule of law.
He urged the government to seriously review the recent incidents and take action against those responsible in accordance with the law. UNI RS SAS
