Special campaign being launched against fraudulent financial schemes: CM Fadnavis

Mumbai, July 1 (UNI) Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in the Assembly that a special campaign is being implemented by the police department to take action against schemes that financially defraud citizens by luring them with high interest rates in the state.

Fadnavis appealed to the citizens to take proper precautions and not fall prey to such schemes.

MLA Bhimrao Tapkir raised a question in this regard.

Chief Minister said that while investing, citizens should check whether the relevant institution has the necessary licenses, registrations and official approvals. They should stay away from schemes that allure with additional benefits or high interest rates.
To prevent fraud through such schemes, the 'Financial Intelligence Unit' has been set up, and necessary action is being taken against the concerned, he said.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Yogesh Kadam informed that the government has initiated action against the Taurus company in a case of financial fraud and that the process of confiscating the company's assets under the MPID Act has been underway for the last three months.
