Shabbir Ali challenges Amit Shah to produce evidence on 3 cr infiltrators

Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) Advisor to the Telangana Government and senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Tuesday challenged union Home Minister Amit Shah to produce documentary evidence to substantiate his claim that nearly three crore alleged infiltrators, mostly Bangladeshis, were identified during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
In a statement, while questioning the Centre's accountability for border security, Shabbir Ali said the BJP had controlled the union Home Ministry for over 12 years and could not evade responsibility for alleged illegal immigration. He demanded details of how the individuals were identified and what action had been taken against them.
He also questioned the reported deletion of nearly 10 crore other voter names during the SIR exercise and sought an independent inquiry into allegations that genuine voters were wrongly removed from electoral rolls.
