Sharada Mata's blessings should illuminate path of knowledge: Telangana Governor

Hyderabad, Sept 19 (UNI) Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Saturday called upon people to uphold knowledge, service, cultural values and patriotism and pass them on to future generations.
Addressing the Sri Sharada Centenary Felicitation Ceremony-2026 at Devbhumi in Maheshwaram of Ranga Reddy district, he said Sharada Mata symbolised knowledge, speech and wisdom, and expressed hope that her blessings would strengthen values of good conduct, compassion, social service and service to the nation.
The Governor attended the ceremony as chief guest and presented the Sri Sharada Centenary Awards-2026.
The event was organised as part of the Telangana Chaturmas Vrat of Srimad Jagadguru Sharada Sarvagnya Peethadheeshwar Ananta Sri Swami Amritanand Dev Teerthji Maharaj, being observed from July 25 to September 26.
Shukla appreciated the felicitation of eminent personalities for their contributions to Sanatana Dharma, education, culture and social service, saying such honours reflected society's gratitude and would inspire future generations.
He also released two books authored by Prof Vivekananda Tiwari Go-Bhakt — Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya and Bharatiya Sanskriti Ke Adharbhoot Tatva.
The Governor said the confluence of the sacred Sharada tradition of Kashmir and Telangana's rich spiritual and cultural heritage reflected the spirit of Indian unity.
Calling for purity in speech, service through action and nobility in thought, Shukla extended his greetings to the Peethadheeshwar, saints, organisers and awardees and wished the Chaturmas Vrat programme success.
Among those present were Srimad Jagadguru Sharada Sarvagnya Peethadheeshwar Ananta Sri Swami Amritanand Dev Teerthji Maharaj, former Supreme Court judge Justice Pankaj Mittal, former Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission chairman Satish Chandra, Shri Kashi Vidvat Parishad General Secretary Prof Ramnarayan Dwivedi and Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti General Secretary Swami Jitendranandji, among others.
