Smita Jadhav declines to comment on Satej Patil’s Gokul poll victory

Pandharpur, Oct 21 (UNI) BJP candidate from the Pune Graduates’ Constituency, Dr Smita Jadhav declined to comment on the victory of her maternal uncle and Congress leader Satej Patil in the recently concluded election to the Kolhapur District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, popularly known as Gokul.
Jadhav, who visited Pandharpur to seek the blessings of Lord Vitthal on the occasion of Dussehra, avoided questions from reporters about the Gokul election results. When asked about Patil’s victory, she responded with a brief “no comments” before leaving, citing the late hour.
As reporters continued to raise the issue, Jadhav refrained from making any further statement. Meanwhile, her supporters attempted to divert attention by chanting “Pundalik Varada Hari Vitthal”, a traditional devotional invocation associated with Lord Vitthal.
Jadhav’s response drew attention in view of her political association with the Pune Graduates’ Constituency and her family connection with Patil, who led the panel that secured a majority in the Gokul election.
In the election to the 25-member board of directors of Gokul, the Rajarshi Shahu Shetkari Samvichari Panel, led by Patil, won 13 seats, establishing its position in the cooperative body.
