Uddhav Thackeray empowering Bangladeshis, Rohingyas in Mumbai, alleges Nitesh Rane

Sindhudurg, Oct 21 (UNI) Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nitesh Rane on Wednesday accused Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray of allegedly supporting Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in Mumbai, drawing a comparison with underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim.
“Uddhav Thackeray is doing in Mumbai today what Dawood used to do. He is empowering Bangladeshis and Rohingyas, fighting for them and working to ensure their survival,” Rane said at a press conference in Sindhudurg.
Rane, who is also the guardian minister of Sindhudurg district, reacted to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut's controversial comparison of union Home Minister Amit Shah with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Countering Raut's remarks, Rane accused the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction of allegedly supporting illegal immigrants and what he described as anti-national elements in Mumbai.
He also criticised Thackeray's use of the phrase “regime change”, claiming that such terminology was associated with “Urban Naxals” and people working against the deep state.
Targeting the UBT faction's recent Dussehra rally, Rane alleged that it catered to supporters of Sharia rather than upholding traditional Hindutva values.
Separately, Rane said a decision has been taken at a meeting with the Sindhudurg district collector on Wednesday to ensure that proper assessments were conducted for all drought-affected farmers across the district.
He directed administrative officials to extend deadlines wherever necessary and resolve technical hurdles immediately to ensure that no eligible farmer was excluded from the government's financial assistance package.UNI SSS AAB
