Stalin slams Modi regime for detaining top Oppn leaders over CEC row, says undeclared Emergency in Delhi

Chennai, Oct 10 (UNI) Strong condemning the arrest of top Opposition party leaders and former Chief Ministers protesting against SIR and CEC C.Gyanesh Kumar, DMK President and former CM M.K.Stalin on Saturday claimed that an undeclared emergency was prevailing in Delhi and said those defending democracy are detained, while those betraying it are protected.
In a post on X he termed as disgrace theC detention of former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, and CPI-M leaders including General Secretary M.A.Baby and Manik Sarkar and leaders of student movements, who are fighting to protect the people's right to vote, while the CEC, who should be fcing trial for his act of treason, was roaming freely with Z-plus security.
Asserting that the conspiracy behind SIR has been completely exposed, he said there was no hiding it any more and that barricading Delhi, shutting down interner and detaining political leaders could not crush the uprising of India's youth and sought to know how long can the union government keep an entire nation under siege.
Not sparing the Tamil Nadu government, Stalin saod the Kakistocratic TVK government with despertey trying to please its masters in Delhi by detaining CPI-M State Secretary P.Shanmugam and other activists, including CJP supporters, protesting against SIR and demanding the resignation of the CEC.
While demanding the release of all those detained, he said Gyanesh Kumar should be sacked, SIR should be halted and all those responsible for betraying the people of the country should be held accountable.
"Undeclared Emergency : Those defending democracy are detained, while those betrayit are protected. The union BJP Government
has detained Former Chief Ministers Com. @PinarayiVijayan, Thiru. @ArvindKejriwal, @MamataOfficial and Com. Manik Sarkar, @CPIMSpeak General Secretary @MABabyCPIM and leaders of various student organisations who are fighting to protect the people's right to vote, while CEC Gyanesh Kumar, who should be facing trial for his act of treason, is roaming freely with Z security!. What a disgrace!", he wrote.
"The conspiracy behind SIR has been completely exposed. There is no hiding it anymore! Barricading #Delhi, shutting down the internet and detaining political leaders cannot crush the uprising of India's youth. How long can the union Government keep an entire nation under siege?", Staln said.
"Meanwhile, the Kakistocratic TVK Government in Tamil Nadu is desperately trying to please its Delhi masters by detaining @TNCPIM Secretary Com. @ShanmugamCPIM and other activists protesting against #SIR and demanding #GyaneshKumar's resignation", he noted.
"All those detained must be released immediately. Gyanesh Kumar must be sacked, SIR must be halted, and everyone responsible for betraying the people of India must be held accountable!", he added.
In an earlier post, Stalin said the resignation of CEC was non-negotiable and the scenes unfolding in Delhi to stall CJP protests reminiscences memories of Emergency. The attempts by the union government to stall protests by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)
in Delhi and the scale of repression against peaceful protestors bring back painful memories of Emergency that he lived through.
