TDP leaders highlight achievements of one year rule in Andhra Pradesh

Kadapa, May 28 (UNI) Union and state Ministers, MPs and MLAs belonging to Andhra Pradesh's ruling Telugu Desam on Wednesday highlighted the achievements of the government including stopping the privatisation of Visakha steel plant while addressing the Mahanadu here.

Union Minister for Civil Aviation K Rammohan Naidu highlighted that they were able to prevent the privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant within one year of rule. Furthermore, they also achieved the Railway Zone, additional funds for the Polavaram project and the Capital city Amaravati.
“The TDP-JSP-BJP coalition is ruling the state efficiently while implementing the welfare schemes, at the same time, development has been prioritised,” Ramamohan Naidu asserted. TDP is the only party which has faced a lot of turmoil during the last four decades and successfully overcome them.

Union Minister of State for Rural Development Pemmasani Chandrasekhar recalled that despite the ruling party in the previous regime having a sufficient number of MPs, it could not get anything from the Centre. Now Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is meeting the Union Ministers often to get the projects approved and get funds for various projects, he noted.

MP Sribharat stated that the significance of Araku coffee was highlighted in the Parliament and efforts were being made to promote it.
Finance Minister Payyavula Keshan stated that the need of the hour is promoting Nara Lokesh as ‘Working President. Lokesh should be made working president to further bolster the TDP and hoped the high command would take an appropriate decision at the right time.
Minister for Water Resources Development Nimmala Ramanaidu alleged that grave injustice was meted to the Rayalaseema during the YSRCP regime. Addressing on ‘Comprehensive irrigation planning and bright progress’ he highlighted that INR 12,000 crore was spent during the previous TDP regime from 2014 to 2019 for the irrigation projects in Rayalaseema region while the YSRCP during 2019-24 spent only INR 2000 crore which reflects how a raw deal was given to the region by the YSRCP, he lamented and assured of completing the HNS by 2025.
TDP senior leader and former Union Minister P Ashok Gajapati recalled his association with TDP founder NT Rama Rao.
The Energy Minister Gottipati Ravikumar lauded Chandrababu Naidu for his vision on the power sector and for implementing revolutionary reforms. Naidu made AP a power surplus state, the Minister pointed out.
TDP senior leader and MLA Kalva Srinivasulu introduced ‘Rayalaseema Development declaration in the Mahanadu. He hoped that Rayalaseema would become lush green, if the Galeru, Nagari and Handri Neeva projects were completed. MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy made it clear that since he did not like the YSRCP policies, he fought with the party and finally quit. He described Chandrababu Naidu as a role model of reforms. MLAs Gouthu Sirisha and Kuna Ravi Kumar were among those who addressed the second day sessions of Mahanadu. UNI DP/ANV SSP

Railway minister orders resumption of train stoppages in two halt stations

AP: JNTUK signs MoU with Census directorate for establishing Census data research centre

Kakinada, May 29 (UNI): An MOU was signed on Thursday between the JNTUK and the Directorate of Census operations, for establishing a centrer for Census Micro-Data Research at the Innovation Research center (IRC) of the University.
Ms Bharathi Hollikeri, Director Census operations of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state and JNTU incharge Registrar Prof V Ravindranath signed the MOU and exchanged the documents of agreement in the presence of Vice chancellor Prof CSRK Prasad and other officials.
