Telangana : Congress MP Vamsi Krishna Alleges Official Negligence in Ramagundam Airport Project

Peddapalli (Telangana), Oct 19 (UNI) Peddapalli Congress MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna on Monday accused the district Collector and officials of negligence on the issue of delay in the proposed Ramagundam Airport project and warned that any similar lapse in the development of the Ramagundam ESI Hospital would invite strong resentment from workers.
Questioning the lack of progress on the airport project despite his repeated interventions in Parliament over the past two years and personal visits to the site, the MP expressed concern that the project had suffered a setback.
In a statement, he questioned whether the Collector was working in the interests of the district's people or acting at the behest of a particular minister.
He also pointed out that the state government had paid Rs. 50 lakh to the Centre, but significant progress on the airport project was yet to be achieved.
Vamsi Krishna asserted that he would continue his efforts to ensure the realisation of the Ramagundam Airport project.
Warning officials against repeating the alleged lapses in the case of the Ramagundam ESI Hospital, he said workers' concerns could not be ignored and that any negligence in the hospital's development would trigger strong resentment among them.
