Telangana Dy CM Bhatti calls for effective utilisation of Central scheme funds

Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday directed officials to ensure effective implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) in Telangana and maximise the utilisation of funds allocated by the Centre to deliver tangible benefits to people.
Chairing a review meeting with department heads and senior officials at the Dr B R Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat, he stressed the need to maximise the flow of Central funds and ensure that allocated resources were utilised efficiently.
He pointed out that the State government contributes 40 per cent of the funding under these schemes and called for close monitoring of both expenditure and outcomes.

Hyderabad, Nov 5 (UNI) union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh on Thursday said India's space economy, currently estimated at nearly USD 9 billion, was expected to grow to USD 40-45 billion in less than a decade, with private sector participation and startup innovation driving the expansion.

CCMB scientists identify two rare genetic variants linked to heart failure

Hyderabad, Nov 5 (UNI) Scientists from the CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, have identified two novel and rare genetic variants in the MYH7 gene associated with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a condition that causes abnormal thickening of the heart muscle and can lead to heart failure.
