Hyderabad, May 31 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday ordered the authorities to constitute a committee for the establishment of cow shelters and also come up with an action plan within a stipulated time.
Revanth, who reviewed development and management of cow shelters in the state, suggested that such shelters should be established in a sprawling 50 acres of land with grazing and free roaming facilities.
Officials have been told to identify suitable lands for cow shelters. The CM told officials to chalk out plans with full budget estimates for the management of cow shelters.
In the first phase, the CM also suggested setting up cow shelters in the premises of the veterinary university, colleges, agriculture university and temples in the state.
Instructing the officials to prepare a comprehensive plan to establish such shelters with state-of-the-art facilities, Revanth said the active involvement of charitable organizations in the management and protection of cows should be examined.
