Kaleshwaram (Telangana), May 25 (UNI) Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and his wife took a sacred Pushkara bath at Saraswati Ghat at the Triveni Sangam on Sunday as part of the ongoing Pushkaralu festivities.

The Governor, who arrived in Kaleshwaram by helicopter from Hyderabad at 1102 hours, was warmly welcomed by State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, District Collector Rahul Sharma, and Superintendent of Police Kiran Khare with floral greetings.

After the holy dip, the Governor and his wife visited the iconic single-stone statue of Goddess Saraswati and later offered special prayers at the Sri Kaleshwara Mukteswara Swamy temple.

The couple was received at the temple by Endowment Department Director Venkat Rao. Temple priests greeted them with traditional honours including Parivattam, Poorna Kumbha, and Mangala Vadya.

The Governor and his wife performed special pujas to the presiding deity. Following the rituals, they were blessed by the temple priests and were offered laddu prasadam, sugar pongali, white cloth, and a memento of the Goddess as a token of divine blessings.

On the occasion, Minister Sridhar Babu briefed the Governor on the ongoing Saraswati Navaratna Mala Aarti program conducted every evening. A large number of devotees and officials were present during the Governor’s visit.

Governor Dev Varma inspected the Pushkara arrangements and lauded the district administration for the seamless organization.

He noted that the Pushkaras have been proceeding grandly for the past 11 days without causing any inconvenience to pilgrims, and commended the efforts of officials in ensuring a smooth and spiritually uplifting experience for devotees.
