Telangana to rollout slot booking system in sub-registrar offices from June 2: Minister Ponguleti

Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) In a major reform aimed at improving transparency and efficiency in property registrations, the Telangana government will implement the slot booking system across all sub-registrar offices in the state starting June 2, announced Revenue, Housing, and I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

The initiative, which was initially launched in 22 offices on April 10 and later expanded to 25 more on May 12, has already facilitated 36,000 registrations, with 94 per cent user satisfaction, according to the Minister.
Encouraged by the success, the government will now extend the system to the remaining 97 sub-registrar offices.
The system allows property buyers and sellers to book slots online between 1030 hours to 1330 hours and 1400 hours to 1700 hours, with all booking details accessible via the department’s portal.

To support this expansion, the government is recruiting additional sub-registrars and staff in high-demand areas like Pathancheruvu, Yadagirigutta, Gandipet, Ibrahimpatnam, Suryapet, Jadcharla, Mahabubnagar, Vanaparthi, and Gadwal.

A special portal is also being introduced to monitor registrations of prohibited properties, ensuring instant alerts to the Hyderabad head office and strict action against violators.

Meanwhile, a written examination for appointing Revenue Officers in every revenue village will be held on Sunday across 33 districts, overseen by JNTU.
Over 5,000 candidates, including former VROs and VRAs, are expected to appear as part of the government's efforts to revive rural revenue services dismantled by the previous administration, an official statement said.
