The album of 'Saiyaara' has my songs, thoughts and melodies: Director Mohit Suri

Mumbai, June 3 (UNI) Renowned Bollywood filmmaker Mohit Suri opened up about the deeply personal creative journey behind 'Saiyaara', his upcoming romantic musical, describing it as a five-year-long labour of love.
Following the teaser's release, 'Saiyaara', produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF) and directed by Mohit Suri, has emerged as one of the most eagerly awaited romantic dramas 2025.
The creative synergy between Yash Raj and Mohit Suri, two names synonymous with timeless love stories, has stirred excitement, particularly with the introduction of two fresh talents in the lead roles.
Talking about the 'Saiyaara' album, filmmaker Mohit Suri said, “One thing that only a handful of close friends know about me is that I love meeting new composers, singers .. collecting melodies and songs much like people who love reading, collect books. So, the album of 'Saiyaara' has my songs, thoughts and melodies that I have carefully collected and curated for over five years.”
Mohit says he wanted to give audiences a supremely fresh album with beautiful, soulful melodies for 'Saiyaara'.
He adds, “I wanted to make an extremely fresh romantic album. The album of 'Saiyaara' is very close to my heart. So, every song of this album feels really special. We are starting our marketing campaign by dropping the 'Saiyaara' title track first. There is so much love, longing, and heart in this song that I fell in love with it instantly.”
The 'Saiyaara' title track will also launch two exciting musical artists from Kashmir. Mohit reveals, “Saiyaara title track will also see us launch Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami, two extremely talented Indian composers and singers (from Kashmir) to Bollywood. The track has been composed by the genius Tanishk Bagchi, whom I thank for making me meet Faheem and Arslan. The beautiful lyrics are written by the maestro Irshad Kamil.”
He adds, “We have a line-up of incredibly talented artists who have worked on the first song of 'Saiyaara'. I hope we are giving everyone a romantic song that they will remember for a long, long time.”
The film marks the screen debut of Ahaan Pandey in the main male, opposite Aneet Padda, who previously captured everyone's heart with her performance in the 'Big Girls Don't Cry' series.
Bankrolled by YRF CEO Akshay Widhani, 'Saiyaara'is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on July 18, 2025.
