Three-decade-old housing land dispute resolved; Pattas distributed to poor on CM's birthday

Vanaparthy, Nov 8 (UNI) The long-pending demand of poor families in Peddagudem village for permanent land title deeds to their housing plots was finally fulfilled after nearly three decades, with the beneficiaries receiving 'Indiramma' house pattas as a birthday gift to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday.
Housing plots were allotted to the poor during the TDP regime nearly 30 years ago, but the beneficiaries were not issued official title deeds, leaving them without legal ownership rights. The issue remained unresolved under successive governments. During the previous BRS regime, the plots were even marked as government land, triggering fears among beneficiaries of losing their allotted land.
Vanaparthy DCC chief Shivasena Reddy took the initiative to resolve the issue by coordinating with Vanaparthy MLA Tudi Megha Reddy, District Collector Adarsh Surabhi and Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy.
With their intervention, permanent land title deeds were issued to eligible families, bringing relief and happiness to the beneficiaries, who said the documents had secured their families' future and fulfilled their long-cherished dream of owning a house.
The villagers expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the public representatives and officials concerned for resolving the three-decade-old issue, describing the distribution of pattas on his birthday as an unforgettable occasion.
