Three tunnels to be built in Octrum Ghat: Karad

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Apr 8 (UNI) Three tunnels covering a total length of 15 kilometres will be built in Octrum Ghat in Kannad of Mahrashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, former Union Minister Bhagwat Karad said on Tuesday.
The tunnels will be built on a 50 percent partnership basis through the Ministry of Railways and Road Transport. Both the ministers have ordered the agencies to prepare the DPR of the tunnel.
According to the media statement issued by former Union Minister of state for finance and Rajya Sabha Dr Bhagwat Karad, for the past several years, the issue of the tunnel in Octrum Ghat has been stalled, wasting a large amount of time and money of the citizens.
