Two cases of use of unfair means registered in HP Open School Exams; Action to be taken

Dharamshala, Sep 18 (UNI) Two cases of use of unfair means (UMC) have been registered against candidates in Una district during the September 2026 examinations of the Himachal Pradesh State Open School (HPSOS), Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma said on Friday.
Dr Sharma said the board was closely monitoring the examinations through field flying teams and CCTV surveillance teams to ensure fairness and transparency.
Issuing strict directions to centre superintendents and examination staff, he said no negligence, irregularity or use of unfair means would be overlooked during the conduct of examinations.
He directed the examination centres to ensure proper checking of every candidate as per prescribed rules and maintain special vigilance to prevent the entry and use of unfair means in examination halls.
The board chairman said that the sanctity and credibility of examinations would not be compromised at any level and that examination centres were being continuously monitored through field flying teams and CCTV surveillance.
Dr Sharma also appealed to candidates to refrain from using any unfair means, warning that those found indulging in such practices would face strict action under board rules.
He directed all examination centres to strictly comply with the board's guidelines and conduct the examinations in a fair, transparent and disciplined manner.
