UP Tourism unveils 3-day special ‘Deepotsav Ayodhya’ tour package

Lucknow, Sep 28 (UNI) Following the immense enthusiasm from people for Deepotsav 2026, Uttar Pradesh Tourism has unveiled a special ‘Deepotsav Ayodhya’ two-night, three-day tour package for travellers.

With millions of diyas set to illuminate Ayodhya and a spectacular 2,100-drone show adding to the celebrations, this journey will offer visitors an opportunity to explore the city’s major spiritual and cultural landmarks while experiencing the grandeur of Deepotsav.
For visitors keen to witness the first-of-its-kind 2,100-drone show scheduled for November 9, a day after Deepotsav, the tour itinerary can be customised to include the drone show experience, along with its repeat presentation at Jamghat two days later, subject to the event schedule and arrangements.
UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said, “Deepotsav 2026 is being prepared to offer visitors a grand and memorable experience of Ayodhya. Through this special package, travellers can explore the key spiritual destinations associated with Lord Ram while witnessing the spectacular illumination and cultural celebrations of Deepotsav. The initiative will also strengthen the ‘Visit My State’ campaign.”
The first day of the tour will begin with the arrival of tourists in Ayodhya and hotel check-in, followed by visits to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanumangarhi, Kanak Bhawan and Dashrath Mahal. In the evening, visitors will attend the Saryu Aarti and experience the illuminated Ram Ki Paidi, followed by an overnight stay in Ayodhya.
The second day will begin with breakfast and a visit to Nageshwar Nath Temple, followed by Sita Ki Rasoi and other important destinations in Ayodhya. The highlight of the day will be experiencing Ayodhya during Deepotsav, including the illuminated ghats and streets, grand lighting of diyas, drone show and cultural and religious programmes.
On the third and final day, tourists will visit more temples and important destinations after breakfast and will have an opportunity to explore local markets for shopping before checking out from the hotel. The journey will conclude with visitors carrying memories of Ayodhya’s spiritual and cultural celebrations.
The Rs 16,999 per person all-inclusive package includes twin-sharing accommodation, meals and AC transportation as per the itinerary, along with visits to key destinations associated with Lord Ram and Ayodhya’s religious and cultural heritage. GST, personal expenses, monument entry fees, boat rides and other services not specified are excluded.
Visitors will also experience several new tourism attractions and upgraded facilities in Ayodhya this Deepotsav, including a floating restaurant, a new ghat on the Saryu, a new amphitheatre and food court, and a shaded visitor gallery and selfie point at Ram Ki Paidi. Beautified Guptar Ghat, eco-tourism development at Udel Lake, and tourism development at Saket Sadan will add further experiences to the journey.
Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Amrit Abhijat said, “This package is designed under the ‘Visit My State’ campaign to attract visitors from across the country, including Delhi, Mumbai, and South India, and offer them a convenient, memorable experience of Ayodhya’s spiritual heritage and grand Deepotsav celebrations. Our aim is to showcase Ayodhya as a destination that visitors from across India can experience and remember.”
