We will respond to opposition’s anarchy & lies in every village and every home: Pankaj Chaudhary

Gorakhpur, Nov 4 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh BJP President and union Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, stated that this is a 'New India'—Modi ji’s 'Developed India' (Viksit Bharat), an India driven by a resolve for development.
"There is no place here for any form of anarchy or conspiratorial politics; we will provide a befitting reply to every lie and act of anarchy by the opposition by reaching out to every village and every household", he said.
Chaudhury made these remarks on Wednesday while addressing the 'Save Democracy, End Anarchy' (Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao) padyatra. Earlier, he welcomed BJP National Secretary Nitin Navin on his first visit to Gorakhpur.
Chaudhary pointed out that the opposition oscillates between questioning EVMs and demanding elections via ballot papers—yet, in elections for 28 MLC seats held using ballot papers, the Congress managed to secure only one seat. The Congress has been out of power for 37 years in Uttar Pradesh, 59 in Tamil Nadu, 49 in West Bengal, 36 in Bihar, 33 in Tripura, 31 in Gujarat, 26 in Odisha, and 21 years in Nagaland. The Congress ought to introspect regarding its own defeats.
He emphasized that this gathering is part of a resolve to protect democracy, eliminate anarchy, and expose anti-national conspiracies. The opposition alliance is misleading the public; upon losing elections, they attempt to defame constitutional institutions—by leveling allegations against EVMs and the Election Commission—and strive to create instability in the country.
He further remarked that while Rahul Gandhi often walks out during discussions and debates in Parliament, he engages in a 'mock parliament,' thereby insulting the 'temple of democracy.' The Congress is not concerned with the Constitution; its only priorities are the family and the pursuit of power.
He stated that the Congress party—which is currently misleading the public by spreading the false narrative that the Constitution will be changed in 2024—is the very same party that, in 1976, enacted the 42nd Constitutional Amendment (often referred to as a 'mini-Constitution') solely to secure the position of one of its leaders as Prime Minister.
To date, the Congress has carried out 75 amendments, whereas the NDA government, under the leadership of the revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi, has enacted 22 amendments—including those aimed at safeguarding the rights and dignity of the SC/ST communities, as well as empowering women through the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam' (Women's Reservation Act).
He noted that while everyone in a democracy has the right to protest, certain individuals in Delhi incited and misled young people into staging demonstrations. The government and the BJP have no objection to peaceful protest; however, it becomes a serious matter when political leaders speak of 'regime change' and one leader even suggests replicating a 'Bangladesh-like' scenario.
He emphasized that the roots of India's democratic system run deep, and a situation similar to those seen in Bangladesh, Nepal, or Sri Lanka cannot arise here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assumed office for a third consecutive term with the blessings of the nation's 1.4 billion citizens. The massive crowd gathered here clearly demonstrates the immense public support for those who are truly upholding democracy.
Chaudhary remarked that the opposition, upon losing elections, resorts only to making allegations; they ought to engage in some introspection. In recent by-elections, municipal body elections, and polls held in Assam, Bihar, Puducherry, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, the public has rejected them. Therefore, they should look inward and reflect upon their own actions.
He further stated that the opposition is creating an unnecessary uproar over the 'SIR' (Special Integrated Revision/purification) process, even though this is the ninth time such an exercise is being conducted. The SIR process is used to 'purify' the electoral rolls by removing the names of voters who are absent, deceased, have relocated, or are duplicates.
The BJP holds the clear view that every Indian citizen’s name should be on the electoral roll, and any missing names can be added by submitting Form 6. It was noted that the opposition is leveling allegations against the Election Commission precisely because the names of infiltrators and Bangladeshi nationals are being removed from the electoral rolls.
Chaudhary stated that while the opposition is fostering chaos, the country has been making consistent progress since 2014 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prior to 2014, the Congress had left the nation with a 'Bimaru' (ailing) economy and as part of the 'Fragile Five'.
Despite subsequent challenges—such as the COVID-19 pandemic and various global crises—India has emerged as one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Guided by the Prime Minister’s mantra—*Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, aur Sabka Prayas* (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all, and Effort of all)—the government is working toward the welfare of the poor, the development of infrastructure, and the empowerment of the youth, all without any discrimination.
He further highlighted that while the number of startups in the country could once be counted on one's fingers, there are now over 230,000 startups operating across India. Driven by their own entrepreneurial ventures, our youth are even reaching for space. India’s stature on the global stage has grown significantly; previously, when India spoke, the world would not necessarily listen—but today, when India speaks, the world not only listens but also acts upon it. This has become the defining identity of India today.
