Yuva Morcha activists wave black flags at Priyanka Gandhi in Kozhikode

Kozhikode, Sep 27 (UNI) Yuva Morcha activists on Sunday waved black flags at the convoy of Congress leader and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra near Thambalamanna in Thiruvambady here, police said.
The activists also raised slogans against Priyanka Gandhi as her convoy passed through the area. Police intervened and removed the protesters, who were subsequently arrested after a case was registered, officials said. The convoy proceeded without stopping.
The protest was staged in response to the black-flag demonstration by Youth Congress activists against union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Kollam on Saturday.
Yuva Morcha district president V V Sreehari and general secretary Nithin Madhusoodanan were among those who led the protest, according to local reports.
In a separate incident in Kozhikode district, Yuva Morcha activists also staged a black-flag protest against Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala near Kuttiyadi. Police removed the protesters after they blocked the minister's convoy for a few minutes.
