Mumbai, May 30 (UNI) Maharashtra Minister of Cultural Affairs and IT and Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District Adv. Ashish Shelar on Friday said that care should be taken to ensure that 100 percent of funds received under the Tribal Deployment Scheme are spent.
Speaking at a meeting of the District Planning Committee of Mumbai Suburban District, held at Chetna College in Bandra, Minister Adv. Shelar said that the government has given instructions to count the tribal population in the district.
Therefore, it will be possible to plan accurately while spending this fund. A plan should be made to provide all civic facilities to tribal villages and settlements from this fund.
He also said the issues raised in the meetings of the District Planning Committee are in the interest of the people. Also, the responsibility of spending the government funds for the welfare of the people lies with the executive agencies.
Also, all the officers should try to solve the issues raised by the people's representatives in this meeting, he instructed.
The police, public works and municipal officials should take note of the seriousness of the issues raised by the public representatives. Action should be taken to resolve these issues, he said.
