Ramayana came alive on Rampath, Ayodhya swayed to the beats of drums and cymbals

Ayodhya, Nov 7 (UNI) The Ramayana came alive on Rampath as the tableaux adorned with chariots moved forward amid the resounding beats of drums, the dance of folk artists, and chants of "Jai Shri Ram", turning the land of Ayodhya to a mythical past.
The live enactment of episodes from the Ramayana moved the devotees. Female performers played drums on their shoulders during the procession. Amid the resounding sound of drums and cards, the artistes' acrobatics and folk dances from various states transformed the Rampath into a grand stage of celebration. Devotion filled the audience's eyes, joy filled their faces, and the chanting of Ram's name filled the air. The procession for the tenth Deepotsav showcased a fusion of faith, culture, and tradition, giving Ayodhya's grandeur a new dimension.
UP Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh flagged off the procession from Saket College. After a journey of approximately three kilometers, the procession reached Ramkatha Park. This year, the procession included 21 grand tableaux. Of these, 14 were depictions of the Yogi government's achievements, and seven were based on the seven chapters of the Ramayana.
From the birth and childhood pranks of Rama in the Balakanda to his exile in the Ayodhyakanda, the episodes of exile in the Aranyakanda, the meeting with Sugreev and Hanuman in the Kishkindhakanda, the valor of Bajrangbali in the Sundarkanda, the battle with Ravana in the Lankakanda, and the story of the Uttarakanda, all were presented visually. The tableaux, one after another, gave the audience a glimpse of the entire Ramayana saga.
Seeing the grandeur of the procession, Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh said that the festival of lights is supernatural, divine, and grand. The Deepotsav program to be held this evening will also be extremely grand. There can be no greater festival of pride for Sanatanis. Every year, we break our own record from the previous year, and this time too, we will set a new record.
Sushil Kumar of Unnao, who witnessed the procession, said that such a divine and grand form of Ayodhya filled the heart with joy. Ram Kumar, who came from Jaunpur, praised the Ramayana tableaux and the performances of the artists. Sushila from Balrampur said that the live enactment of the Ramayana and the performances of folk artists captivated the audience.
The spectators and devotees seated on the Rampath kept gazing at every scene of the procession. Seeing the forms of Lord Shri Ram, many devotees were overwhelmed. Some had moist eyes with reverence, while others were seen with folded hands, absorbed in the name of Ram. It seemed as if the Ramayana was not only being enacted on the land of Ayodhya, but was also being enacted in the hearts of every person.
