‘Arunachal Pradesh Sanskriti, Parampara aur Kala Tyohar’ celebrated at Itanagar Raj Bhavan

Itanagar, Mar 31 (UNI) The Raj Bhavan in Itanagar on Monday hosted the maiden episode of the cultural extravaganza, ‘Arunachal Pradesh Sanskriti, Parampara aur Kala Tyohar’, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Northeastern state.
The event was conceptualized by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik, as part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative to promote local artists and cultural groups.
Troupes representing various tribes, including Monpa, Adi, Puroik, Wancho, and Nyishi, participated in the cultural presentation, showcasing the vibrant traditions of Arunachal Pradesh.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Parnaik emphasized the state’s immense cultural wealth expressed through its music, dance, and folk traditions and reaffirmed Raj Bhavan’s commitment to supporting local artists through various initiatives.
He particularly commended the women participants, highlighting their leadership and resilience in different spheres of life. He stated that the dedication and spirit of the women of Arunachal Pradesh are pivotal in realizing the vision of ‘Viksit Arunachal’.
The event was organized by the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and witnessed the presence of special invitees, dignitaries, Raj Bhavan officers and staff, along with their families. The celebration marked a significant effort to preserve and promote the unique traditions of the state while fostering cultural unity.
