Bettiah (Bihar), Mar 24 (UNI) Three people were killed in a road accident in Bihar's West Champaran district on Monday.

Police sources said that the marriage of the daughter of Debnath Prasad was held on Sunday night in Pipra Kachari Tola.

The procession went from Janwasse to the door for the wedding. Jai Prakash Kumar, son of Debnath Prasad, and Shivnath Prasad, uncle of Jai Prakash, had gone to welcome the procession. At the same time, two youths riding on a bike hit Jai Prakash and Shivnath Prasad. Shivnath and Jai Prakash were injured in the incident, as well as bike rider Ramakant and another youth were also injured.

Shivnath Prasad, Jaiprakash Kumar and Ramakant died during treatment, while the condition of another injured Bittu Ram is still critical, sources said. The girl has been married and sent off.

The bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem, police said.
