Jammu, May 9 (UNI) Amid heavy shelling and heightened tension between India and Pakistan, the troops of Border Security Force successfully foiled an infiltration bid and neutralised seven terrorists in Samba sector of Jammu.
The BSF sources said that in Samba sector of Jammu, in the intervening night of May 8-9, an infiltration by a big group of terrorists was detected by a surveillance grid.
“The infiltration was supported by fire from Pak Rangers at post Dhandhar,” said a source.
They said that alert BSF troops neutralised the infiltration, killing at least seven terrorists and causing extensive damage to the Pak Post Dhandhar.
Earlier the BSF Jammu in a post on X on Thursday said that troops observed infiltration by the terrorists along the International Border in Samba sector at 11 pm and challenged them.
The infiltration was foiled, they posted.
