Case registered of selling fake passes for darshan at Trimbakeshwar temple

Nashik, Apr 17 (UNI) A case of selling fake passes for darshan at the Trimbakeshwar temple for an excessive amount of money has been revealed.
Amit Machve, CEO of the temple trust, has registered a case at the Trimbak police station in connection with the incident that took place on March 22.
According to police sources, on March 22, when devotees from Surat, Gujarat came for darshan, a person met them at the entrance of the temple sold three tickets, that were worth Rs 200 each for VIP darshan, for Rs 2,000.
However, the Aadhaar number of the concerned person is matched for the darshan pass. Since all the three passes were issued with other people's Aadhaar numbers, the Aadhaar numbers of the devotees from Surat did not match it.
Therefore, the computerised scanning machine at the entrance of the temple did not accept them.
Naturally, the security guards did not allow these devotees to enter and asked them to leave.
Realising that he had been cheated, devotee Chirag Dalia rushed to the trust office. He filed a complaint with the chairman. The application mentions that the name of the said person is Narayan.
The trust has examined the CCTV footage in this regard and has preserved it. A complaint was filed on Tuesday based on the complaint filed by Amit Machve on March 23, 2025.
In this regard, a case of cheating has been registered against Narayan under Section 318 (4).
