Chamber of commerce demands PM, Giriraj reconsider Bihar's mega trade park proposal

Patna, Apr.7 (UNI) Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries on Monday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh to reconsider the state's proposal regarding PM Mitra Mega Textile park.
The Chamber has also requested Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and state Industry Minister Nitish Mishra to take up the matter before the centre.
Chamber president Subhash Patwari said with the announcement of the textile park in the Union Budget 2021-2022, the people of Bihar, especially the entrepreneurs and businessmen, were hopeful that the industrially backward state will also get a "PM Mitra Mega Textile Park" to accelerate its economic development.
He said a proposal to establish PM Mitra Mega Textile park in Dhanha of Madhubani block in West Champaran district was sent to the centre which was rejected
He said the entrepreneurs and the businessman were frustrated with the rejection of the state's proposal and keeping in mind their sentiments the Chamber has written to the Prime Minister to reconsider the proposal.
Patwari said if the Mega Textile Park is established in Bihar, it would generate employment opportunities for the youth of the state. UNI RS SSP
