Karnataka: Govt revises office timings in heatwave-affected dists

Bengaluru, Apr 2 (UNI) The Karnataka government on Wednesday issued an order revising the working hours of government offices in nine districts due to the prevailing heatwave conditions.
According to the State Information and Public Relations Department, government offices in the seven districts of Kalaburagi division, along with Vijayapura and Bagalkot districts in Belagavi division, will operate from 8 am to 1.30 pm during April and May 2025.
The decision follows a proposal put forth by the Karnataka State Government Employees Association, considering the extreme weather conditions affecting the region. UNI BDN SSP
