ED action against Sonia, Rahul Gandhi politically motivated: Chennithala

Nagpur, Apr 16 (UNI) Maharashtra Congress in-charge Ramesh Chennithala on Wednesday decried Enforcement Directorate’s action against senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and MP Rahul Gandhi, terming it as 'politically motivated' and said they are being harassed unnecessarily.
This is not the first time ED has interrogated them. The Congress party is not afraid of actions by ED or CBI, he said.
Every Congress worker will stand united and protest against this action, he asserted.
The (Narendra) Modi government is taking action against Congress leaders across the country who are boldly standing up to the BJP regime, he mentioned and added false cases are being filed against Congress leaders.
He was speaking on conclusion of the Sadbhavna Shanti march here.
In an effort to maintain social harmony and peace in Nagpur, the Congress had organised a Sadbhavna Shanti padayatra.
During today’s padayatra, prayers for harmony were offered at Deekshabhoomi, Tajuddin Baba Dargah and Tekdi Ganesh Temple.
The march saw participation of Chennithala, state party president Harshavardhan Sapkal, Legislature Party Leader Vijay Wadettiwar, Goa in-charge Manikrao Thakre, AICC secretary Kunal Choudhary, former ministers Dr Nitin Raut, Sunil Kedar, Anees Ahmed, MP Pratibha Dhanorkar, Nagpur city Congress president Advocate Vikas Thakre, MLA Abhijeet Wanjari, State Sevadal president Vilas Autade, INTUC state president Kailas Kadam, chief spokesperson Atul Londhe and several other office-bearers and workers.
